About Us

Hi everyone! My name is Jaiden and I am the owner and creator behind White Rose Co., along with my five cats, Maya, Lucy, Clarisse, Ellie, & Francesco!

After adopting Maya and Lucy during the summer of 2020, I ventured into the #catstagram universe and discovered pet bandanas. I wanted to create my own bandanas, but in an eco-friendly manner. I was fed up with ordering bandanas, only to find them packaged in a clear plastic sleeve and a polymailer. With many years of sewing experience, including as a Clothing, Textiles, & Fashion Studies teacher for middle years and high school students, I decided to start White Rose Co.

All of our fabrics are made from 100% natural and vegan materials— primarily cotton, organic cotton, and bamboo. This means that they do not contain micro-plastics or animal by-products and can be composted when the time comes. The fabrics we use are exclusively purchased from small, Canadian fabric shops. 

We pride ourselves on being eco-friendly and sustainable, so we only use compostable mailers and tape. The main businesses we purchase these from are Minliving and Compostable.ca; occasionally, 100% recyclable paper mailers may be used if we run out during a release. In addition to this, we have the Shopify Planet integration, which means that all orders ship carbon neutral. 

We also donate a portion of our sales to an animal rescue or sanctuary in Canada on a monthly basis.
